Overview

From the smallest particle in the atom, to the furthest reaches of the Universe the study of Physics is all embracing. Our aim in the Physics department is to give pupils the skills and knowledge to answer the most challenging questions that they wish to ask.

Biology

Overview

Our main aim is to enthuse and excite pupils about Biology. As well as trying to maximise their examination attainment we are always busy answering questions that pupils themselves bring to the lesson. We teach through a varied mixture of practical and theory work in all years.

Overview

The discipline of chemistry is a study of the material makeup of the universe. Chemistry is aimed at encouraging students to ask questions about the materials around them and how they can benefit people or society in general.

Science Status

Mission Statement:

  • We will raise the attainment in science and mathematics of both our own pupils and those in our partner primary and secondary schools.
  • We will extend curriculum opportunities in science and mathematics to pupils at all levels and of all abilities and will make the curriculum in these areas accessible from home via the school's ICT facilities.
