On Friday 2nd March 3 teams from Keswick School travelled to the Lakes College to take part in the West Cumbria Area Rotary Club Design Technology Competition.
They were presented with the challenge to design and build a battery powered vehicle to crawl along a pipe and clear debris from it. The pupils working in teams of four, had 2 hours to develop their design, then 2 hours to build it. They were assessed on their portfolio of design work and how well their vehicle completed the challenge.

The Keystage 3 team of Wil Crossley, Matthew Orrison, Alex Chetwood-Clarke and Sam Paget came 2nd in their category.

The Keystage 4 team of Phil Stubbs, Ben Crosbie, Johny White and Ross Pickthall won their category.

The Keystage 5 team of Adam Clarke, Michael Bryden, Tom Strong and Eddie Pang came joint first on points, but lost the toss of a coin!
