Teaching Awards recognise Keswick School

The Senior Leadership Team at Keswick School are delighted to have been presented with a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ from the Teaching Awards Trust. This is part of the national Teaching Awards scheme and comes on ‘Thank a Teacher Day’, which this year falls on Friday 16th May.

The Teaching Awards Trust is an independent charity that works in education to promote teaching as a profession and help young people realise their potential. They recognise and celebrate exceptional achievements and this culminates in the national Teaching Awards which are televised on the BBC. The national Teaching Awards are supported by the government and all the national teaching unions and associations.

The school is grateful for the support it receives from parents, governors and the wider community. The ‘certificate of excellence’ reflects the strength of community we have within the school and our high values and aspirations for achievement in all its forms. The Senior Leadership Team is dedicated to further extend opportunity for pupils to learn and grow in a happy, enjoyable and inspiring school.

Simon Jackson (Headteacher) comments:

‘This is a great accolade and follows on from our recent Ofsted inspection in February where we were judged to be outstanding in every category and regarded by the Ofsted inspectors to be an exceptional school. We are a school that values the care and support offered to every pupil whilst maintaining the highest of expectations and seeing young people grow into outstanding individuals. All our staff feel a great deal of responsibility to see this maintained and strengthened. This is what motivates us and it is working together as a community that will help us achieve our ambitions.’
