  • Homework club:  Every lunch time in SSC (room next to reception) come along and help to catch up with homework.
  • Maths Equipment: can be bought in the Finance Office. Equipment will be sold at break & lunchtimes ONLY and not between lessons. Please make sure you have small denominations, as change cannot always be given for notes. Thank you
  • £1000 Competition:  The 2nd Annual Hunter Davies Award for Young Writers competition is now open for any student aged 16-21 who attends a Cumbrian school, college or university.  The winning entry will receive £1000 – half to go to the student’s library and the other half to the winning young person.  This year, the title of the writing will be ‘My Best Friend’ and should be written as a profile of the best friend or an interview.  Find out more on www.cumbriaschoolwriters.weebly.com
  • GCSE Astronomy:  Sessions this half-term for Yr11 ONLY
  • D of E: Every Friday from 3.45 – 5pm in the geography department.  Non-attendance by parental/guardian letter only.
  • Library Website: The library now has its own website: www.keswickschoollibrary.weebly.com where you can find out about new books, place your requests for new books, find out about library clubs and events and more.
  • Word Power: New activity available to collect from the library today.
  • Carnegie Award: Meeting on Wednesday lunchtime.  We will be discussing Black Spring and Smugglers’ Kiss.  Also, find out about the new Spellbinding Competition.
  • New Fiction: Available in the library:  Find out which books are new on www.keswickschoollibrary.weebly.com.
  • School Leavers: all pupils in year 13, and those pupils in years 11 and 12 who will be leaving this summer, please can you start to use up any remaining credit on your cashless catering account before you leave.
  • School Leavers: Any students who will be leaving soon for exams, please ensure that you return any library books you have borrowed.
  • Young Textile Technologist Competition 2013-14: An exciting competition open to students who are in Years 8 or 9.  The design brief: to make a textiles based accessory for a room in your house, based on the theme of People.  Closing date is Friday May 23rd 2014 (half-term).  One winner from each school will then be entered into the Cumbrian inter-school final.  If you are interested, please see Mrs Jackson for more information in L21.
  • Keswick School Alumni: All students in Years 11–13 have been sent an email about signing up for the school’s alumni, to their school email addresses.  Please check and sign up if you are leaving school this summer.  Any queries to Miss Maietta.
  • All Pupils: Public Exams are now taking place around school.  Please stay away from the Sports Hall during breaks and lunchtimes and if you have a PE or games lesson please keep noise to a minimum whilst in the changing rooms and surrounding areas.  If you see an Exams “DO NOT ENTER” sign or banner then DO NOT ENTER, find an alternative route to get to where you are going.
