Keswick School Climbers reach the summit of success

Last Friday Keswick School travelled to  the Eden Rock Secondary Schools Climbing Competition in Carlisle.

Keswick entered two teams, a mixed team (3 boys and 3 girls) and a boys team 6 boys).

Each climber had to tackle 15 different routes and had 3 attempts to reach the summit! 10 points were scored for 1st attempt success, 7 points for 2nd attempt and 3 points for 3rd attempt.

Both teams excelled and showed not only fantastic climbing skills but superb team work when planning each route strategy.

At the end of the competition both teams were victorious scoring over 700 points to be crowned champions in each category.

Cotswolds Outdoors sponsored the event with prizes and medals for the winners.
