Keswick School U15 County Cricket Champions

Last Thursday (14.7.16) Keswick CC hosted the U15 Cumbria Schools County Cricket final between Keswick School and Caldew School from Dalston.

The players were blessed with wonderful weather and an exciting match was anticipated.

Caldew won the toss and elected to field.

Keswick School got off to a positive start scoring quickly but unfortunately lost their 4 most attacking batsmen cheaply by the ½ way stage.

In came Oscar link and Joshua Hilton who managed to rebuild the Keswick School innings to finish on 95 for 6. Special mention to Joshua who played a fantastic knock lifting the Keswick school supporters out of a little cloud of doom!

The Keswick players have been outstanding in the field all season so after a ½ time team talk were all in an optimistic mood and believed that with early wickets and plenty of dot balls the County Cup was within grasp.

The bowling attack provided dream figures supported admirably by a fielding unit on top of their game.

Caldew School were all bowled out for 43 runs.
