RSC Olympiad

The RSC Olympiad provides a great annual opportunity for our A-level chemists to showcase their academic prowess and be challenged with how they use and apply their understanding to solve real-world chemistry problems.

The test is designed to be very challenging, with certificates awarded only to high-scoring students and we were delighted to receive a silver and two bronze certificates. The students now plan to go on to University to study Biochemistry, Medicine and Engineering.

It is hugely rewarding to teach such enthusiastic young scientists and know that the knowledge we have imparted on them will be of direct use as they continue their journey beyond School.

“The Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad is one of the most prestigious competitions in this field of science and is traditionally only entered into by the top state and independent schools in the country.  To achieve these certificates once again highlights the fantastic quality of teaching and fabulous students we have at Keswick School”.
