There are dedicated computer rooms for teaching and learning in IT and computing, these are equipped with a range of appropriate software and hardware and are fully utilised both within the department and by other subject areas.

Computer rooms are open every lunchtime to enable students to continue with their work or carry out research tasks.  The department supports this additional access.  A Network Manager and his assistant provide technical backup to the work of the department.  The department Prefects, as well as staff, support this additional access. There are a number of extra-curricular clubs relating to computing and IT, this includes a programming club and first Lego League, one of our teams has qualified for the UK finals this year.
