    • Year 11 PPEs (mock examinations) start on Monday 23rd November and last until the end of Friday 4th December. These are very important exams for Year 11 and it is crucial that they are able to sit their exams undisturbed.

Make sure you stay away from the immediate Sports Hall area both inside and outside. If you need to be near changing areas for PE/Games, you must be silent.

Year 9 specifically - Year 9 lockers are not in use for the two weeks of exams. Leave bags in classrooms. You can still use your allocated toilets in the Sports Hall area but you MUST be silent on entry and exit. To gain entry at break or lunchtime, you must queue silently outside the entry to the Sports Hall and a duty member of staff will allow you to go to the toilet one at a time. You must exit from the same door so the duty staff know they can allow another student in.

It will be a very serious matter if anyone disturbs the exams so thank you for your help to make sure Year 11 students have the best opportunity for success.

    • Face Masks: Could Form Heads please remind students that when they are waiting to get on their buses in town or outside of school they should be wearing their face masks and be social distanced from each other.
    • Reminder:  If you are off school for Coronavirus related reasons e.g. you are waiting for test result for yourself or a close contact, or you have to self-isolate for 10-14 days, teachers will set work for you on Google Classroom. Please be aware that this may not appear until later in the day if they are teaching a full day and they get the notification to set you work while they are teaching other classes. You do not need to contact teachers to request them to set you work as we have a system in school to do this but your parents must let school know you are absent for a Coronavirus related reason.  Teachers have been asked to let senior staff know if work is not completed and school will contact home if we have concerns about this. If you are off school because you are poorly then teachers won’t be required to set you work as it is very important that take time to get well so you can come back to school. Teachers will help you catch up when you return, like they always have done, so you don’t need to email to ask for work if you are ill.
